MLA's returned to Victoria following a three month break for the summer, marking the first time that all members could participate in person at the Legislature in over a year.
The return would be a short one, with a break ahead for Thanksgiving but for the four days of debate and discussion Skeena MLA Ellis dominated the speaking time of the regions three MLA's, the BC Liberal speaking to a range of topics.
North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice provided for some comments related to Orange Shirt Day and reconciliation for her participation on the week, while Stikine's Nathan Cullen was not assigned any speaking time in the Legislature for the first week of the fall session.

On the week, Ms Rice was mentioned twice in the record for the week in the Legislature from October 4-7
Her debut for the fall session came with a statement during the Monday morning session, paying tribute to Phyllis Webstad and observing of Orange Shirt Day.
Ms. Rice is also on the record from Wednesday afternoon making introductions of two Prince Rupert residents who were visiting from the North Coast.

For our readers from the Terrace-Kitimat region, Skeena MLA Ellis Ross was mentioned five times in the record for the week in the Legislature from October 4-7
Mr. Ross opened his fall session on Tuesday morning recounting his attendance at the Fire Dragon Festival in Vancouver's Chinatown.
Among his main contributions to the Legislature discussion on the week were comments and observations on the Early Child Care act
He followed up on that with another day of debate on the topic on Wednesday, as well as with comments related to the province's Protected areas.
The Skeena MLA's final contribution to the discussion of the week was to ask a number of questions related to the recently announced agreement between the BC government and the Blueberry River First Nation. (see 4:15 PM mark of Thursday afternoon session)
