Prince Rupert Golf Club's Year End Men's Scramble to tee off tomorrow ... weather Gods permitting

Update: Tournament was postponed over weekend due to weather, set for an attempt on October 6th.

So far, the current weather has not laid the best of plans to waste for the Prince Rupert Golf Course, with the organizations Social Media feed still indicating that remains a Green Light so far, for this weekend's Men's Day Year End scramble.

One week ago, the Club outlined the plan for the Scramble, which will be making use of just nine of the club's eighteen holes owing to storm related damage from earlier this month, a situation which has reduced access to the back nine of the course on Ninth Avenue East.

As for the play tomorrow, the  4 Man Texas Scramble consisting of up to sixteen teams will start with a Shotgun Start at 10AM.

The event is operating under COVID protocols and this year there wil be no post tournament banquet, but the Club House and Restaurant will be open for golfers.

You can review more of the details for the Saturday event here.

That forum will also be the place to watch to see if the storm approaching the North Coast this evening makes for trouble for organizers come Tomorrow morning.
