Northern Savings prepares for banking conversion process at mid month

Customers of Northern Savings Credit Union will be finding a whole new online experience in just another seventeen days, with the Prince Rupert based Financial Services organization set to embark on a new banking conversion process.

The plans for the change noted in the retirement announcement from Bob Marshall in August, who noted he would be seeing the project through its changeover phase prior to stepping down from his post.

The financial institution has been finalizing the plans to make the change for a number of months now, and as Northern Savings explains it:

The new system will modernize and simplify banking, allowing our employees to spend more time doing what they do best – helping  customers achieve financial wellness.

Towards the actual change over, starting around 4pm on Friday, November 19 and throughout conversion weekend, online banking will be unavailable.

Credit Union officials expect systems to come back online Monday, November 22.  Though they advise that customers should Expect their ATMs and your Northern Savings Member Card to experience downtimes throughout the weekend.

In recent weeks, customers have received letters and social media notes related to the planed changeover of banking systems

As the conversion period of November 19-21 gets closer, Northern Savings is expanding on their information rollout, this week providing some helpful guidance for their customers as to how they may wish to prepare for the weekend when the systems change.

Included in the overview is a Pre Conversion checklist for Northern Savings members to look over prior to the 19th.

As well, they are providing a video tutorial for what is coming up at mid month.

You can keep up with the latest notes on the way to Conversion weekend here.
