This is misleading. Omicron is active. In the past 3 weeks I know of 15 close contacts in Prince Rupert who tested positive at home on the take home tests. It is live and active and will be the new flu.
ReplyDeleteI also share some of your suspicion on the nature of the weekly data review, however, as it it, this is the only documentation we are receiving at the moment on COVID data results. Not sure if it is destined to be the new flu, but it is clearly still active in the province with vaccination opportunities coming this month and through the fall NCR
DeleteYes they are only counting PCR tests.
DeleteNot quite sure as to how they assemble their data, but both BC CDC and the Ministry of Health need to be a bit more detailed in how this data reflects the current COVID situation in BC -- NCR
