A chance for North Coast residents to meet the new Associate Dean for the Prince Rupert campus of NWCC takes place today, with Jose Areekdan hosting the latest of the college's Brown Bag Lecture Series sessions.
The noon hour discussion will focus on what it takes to get a job with the United Nations, a topic that the new Associate Dean is quite familiar with, having worked with the UN and other Non-Governmental Organizations over the years.
We outlined some of that experience with our introduction to the newest member of the NWCC management team in September.
As part of his discussion today he will outline for participants what the United Nations looks for when it seeks to staff its job opportunities, what to expect to find should you join the international agency and provide those taking in the session with some background on the tools required to increase their chance to become a successful job applicant.
The Noon hour event is free to the public, make sure to bring your own lunch.
