The list of participants continues to grow for Carolina de Ryk's Open House on Friday, with the Daybreak North Host taking the show three blocks west down Third Avenue to Java Dot Cup and a chance for the loyal CBC audience in Prince Rupert to join in on the holiday cheer and help out the Food Bank at the same time.
The Broadcast takes place starting at 7 AM and features Woodwinds, a children's choir and an acapella group to set the festive spirit for the morning, interviews with local officials and community members, as well as some special guests will also make for the flow to morning event.
This year marks for a missing element to the annual Open House, with Ms. de Ryk's loyal sidekick George Baker now a Big City Broadcaster, plying his trade and fighting the traffic in Vancouver.
However, reinforcements have arrived for the DayBreak host, with Nicole Oud who is based out of Prince George making the trip down Highway 16 to lend a hand and take over some of those elf duties that Mr. Baker put his personal stamp on for many a previous broadcast of years gone by.
Now that he's out of earshot, this years Open House might even offer up a few stories from those past broadcasts, which may make for a burning of the ears that is felt all the way to the CBC Vancouver studio tomorrow morning.
There's lots of room for audience participation and the coffee will be on for those looking to drop by to say hello and help out the Food Bank, Java dot Cup is located in the Six Hundred block of Third Avenue West, just across the street from the Capitol Mall.
