The Charles Hays Senior Rainmakers are off to a flying start in their first major tournament of the 2018-19 basketball season, with the Makers turning on their offensive skills to take a Day One win over Seycove, with a final score of 91-57, serving notice that the Senior Boys are more than ready to play.
The Charles Hays Boys are in North Vancouver for the annual No Regrets Tournament a Vancouver area showcase that features sixteen high tempo teams in town to show off their stuff.
The Rainmakers among a group of visitors coming from distant locales in Western Canada, and even Australian entry to take part in this years event.
Despite some hospital time following an exhibition matchup the night before, Rainmaker Liam McChesney returned to action for the first tip off of the tourney and showed little ill effects from his short stay.
With the Rainmaker making his mark quickly in the opening minutes and receiving player of the game honours putting up 33 of the Rainmakers 91 points on the day.

Today's play will see Charles Hays taking on West Vancouver with a 6:30 tip off set for the Collingwood Gymnasium, the winner of that match up moves on to Saturday playoff action with a 10:45 AM game agains the winner of the Carson Grahm/Kitisilano game from Friday.
