As those who spent the BC Day Long weekend in Terrace can attest, the temperatures were hot and climbing through the weekend and for those that have stayed behind for a few extra days of Sun, the heat will remain on.
The last few days have seen the Terrace/Kitimat region facing temperatures of 28 and above, with much the same expected for a few more days.
The Skeena Valley region has been in the midst of a Heat Warning now into its third day, with Environment Canada posting the warning to their website.

Tied into the awareness of the extreme heat for the region is some health related advice.
Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.
Reduce your heat risk. Schedule outdoor activities during the coolest parts of the day.
Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.

The stretch of heat is anticipated to cool off by Thursday when showers are anticipated an less strident temperatures of 21-23 degrees expected.
The hot temperatures are also having an impact on those living in the inland areas of the Central Coast.
