Water Repairs to reduce traffic lanes Wednesday on 5th Ave East

Water service work is on the do to list for City Crews on Wednedsy
along a stretch of Fifth Avenue East

Traffic flow (not to mention the flow of the city's water) along a portion of Fifth Avenue East will be under the supervision of flag persons on Wednesday, as a City of Prince Rupert Utilities Crew takes care of a water service repair issue in the 400 block of the main east-west thoroughfare in the city.

Motorists are requested to obey the instructions of the flag personnel on the scene.

The water work is one of a number of water related issues that the city is currently working  on the east side of the city. Along with the major water project along McBride Street, City work crews have been working on road and waterline reconstruction along Seventh Avenue East, alongside the soon to open Metlakatla Elders/Seniors Village.
