The Prince Rupert Port Authority and it's partners at DP World, COSCO shipping lines and Canadian Nation Railway have a new service to introduce, one which will put cargo on a priority train to Toronto, providing for connection from the heart of Canada's industrial sector to Asia markets and transit of goods from Asia to the areas of the largest population base in Canada.
The First Ever Toronto Priority train was loaded last week with the berthing of the COSCO XIN CHONG QING, the occasion celebrated by the PRPA with a Social Media message on Friday
The Priority Train concept is one that has been put into motion previous, with CN making note of a similar train in September, which sees the DP World Container Terminal connect Shanghai to Chicago in a seamless corridor of trade.
In October we outlined some of the plans from the COSCO shipping line to expand on its service to the Prince Rupert DP World facility, that as the shipping line looks to find new alternatives to some of the congested ports to the south.
More notes on CN Rail can be explored here.
