After a three game homestead which saw the Prince Rupert Rampage claim two of three victories, the Rhinos hit the road for the first time this  season, as they head to Kitimat and a rendezvous Saturday night with the Ice Demons.

A little payback will be on the mind of the Rupert squad as they head down Highway 37 South, with the Ice Demons ruining the home season debut three weeks ago, coming into the Jim and taking two points home with them with a pretty convincing 7-4 win in the season's ice breaker.

Since that match up, the Ice Demons have matched the Rampage on wins and losses, with both teams sporting 2-1 records heading into Saturday night's contest.

This years Ice Demon squad though has assembled some strong offensive talent from previous years, with fifteen goals to date to show for their work, one more than Prince Rupert to the first week of November.

Both teams also have similar defensive records, with the Ice Demons slightly better at keeping the puck out of they net than the Prince Rupert side so far.

CIHL Standings heading into this weekend's action

The key for Prince Rupert is slowing down the Kitimat offence will be to slow down the speed and skill of Parker Evans Campbell and Josh Slania, currently 1-2 in Kitimat scoring combining for 11 points so far on the socresheet.

For the Rampage, continued scoring for Hunter Johnson and Judd Repole, both with four points each so far in the season, along with a growing list of offensive threats as the team gets its skating legs for 2021-22

Puck drop in Kitimat at the Tamitik Arena is set for 7:30 PM on Saturday night.

Next week the Rampage head off to the Cariboo with two dates on tap in Williams Lake and Quesnel on the thirteenth and fourteenth.

The three game stretch on the road one which could see the Rampage gain some elevation in the standings or slip behind a bit as the season moves forward.

They next return home to the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre on December 11th when the Terrace River Kings make their first trip down Highway 16 west this year.

The River Kings are the top team so far in this young CIHL season currently undefeated heading into play this weekend when they host Hazelton.
