4.3 magnitude earthquake Friday night, West of Port Hardy

Another in a string of frequent earthquakes was recorded Friday
night off the northern coast of Vancouver Island


The Pacific fault line just off shore of Vancouver Island rumbled a bit on Friday evening, as a 4.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded 171 kilometres West of Port Hardy.

The temblor was located in much the same location as similar sized quakes in the region, Friday evenings quake had a depth of 10 kilometres and was listed as taking place at 9:11 PM

No Tsunami threat was generated by the Friday evening incident.
