Blog Watching: Week ending August 4, 2019



Emergency Responder files claimed the top spots in our review of the five most read items of the last seven days, with a pair of RCMP files in the city and the work of the Prince Rupert Fire Department catching the eye of many.

Also finding a large audience was our look at the latest Port of Prince Rupert report on the impact that the Port has on the Northern British Columbia economy and job market.

A new summer venture from Ecotrust Canada and Hecate Strait Business Development is underway, with participants in the Trading Coast Market program showcasing their products in four market opportunities in July and August.

Readers found much interest in our notes on the end of the job search in Port Edward for a new CAO, with the District finding their successful applicant only 90 minutes away in Terrace.

However, the top item of the last seven days was a late night tour of the city which will no doubt make for a number of ICBC claims files as well as a court appearance.

Trail of damage leads Mounties to Fairview waterfront and crashed vehicle -- Police files made for some of the most read items of the week, with our notes on a tour of the west side of the city that left damaged cars in its wake before ending on the Fairview waterfront, also catching the attention of readers was an investigation into a suspicious incident between City Hall and the Canada Post building   (posted July 29, 2019)

Canada wide search for CAO leads Port Edward to Terrace for new senior staffer --A near six month opening at the Port Edward District office will be filled this September, as the District welcomes Danielle Myles Wilson to the position.  (posted  July 29, 2019)
