Scam emails are making the rounds, some popping up in the In Boxes of CityWest customers and to address the ongoing concerns, CityWest has posted a notice to their Facebook page outlining some things for customers to make note of when it comes to engagement with CityWest employees.
The scam is a fraudulent e-mail which impersonates CityWest staff and asks that customers verify their account with an insecure link.
The Prince Rupert based communications company is asking customers to delete those emails and remember not to open any links that may come with such correspondences.
Should you have questions call CityWest at 1-800-442-8664
They also provide some further background on how to protect yourself from fraudulent emails, ads and other online related issues, which you can explore here.
