Canadian Transportation Safety Board officials to be on scene of Kitwanga derailment today

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada will soon be on the scene of
a CN train derailment near Kitwanga


The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is set to begin its investigation into a train derailment near Kitwanga from Tuesday morning, the six AM incident sending 34 covered cars of the westbound train carrying wood pellets off the rails.

Few details have been released by CN related to the derailment, other than to note that no dangerous cargo was involved in the incident and no injuries were reported from crew members, with work crews working through the day Tuesday and into the overnight period on the derailment site.
