Prince Rupert Golf Club outlines course renovation plans through letter for City Council

The Prince Rupert Golf Club has some renovation plans in mind for the city's eighteen holes frequented by members and visitors

The Club set to outline the scope of their project through a request for a letter of support from City Council to be considered at this evening's Council session.

The request for a letter notes that the plans for renovation of the course would take place over a period of five years.

Observing how the course was constructed over fifty years ago and requires major renovation to minimize future maintenance and maintain playability.

Towards the remediation work, three green will be rebuilt, renovations will take place on existing tee boxes and construction of new tee boxes as needed.

Plans also include complete repairs to cart paths, and a redo of existing bunkers as well as the construction of new ones a required.

From their request, it appears that the Golf Club is seeking funding from Northern Development Initiative Trust towards their plans.
