Prince Rupert's Jim Ciccone Civic Centre is the destination tonight as the home side Rampage and Terrace River Kings dig into the ice for Game One of their Best of Three CIHL Semi-Final |
The Prince Rupert Rampage will launch a mission tonight that they hope will mean more hockey come later this month for the madhouse on McBride, with the Homeside and their long time rivals from Terrace taking to the ice for game number one of their CIHL Series.
The Showdown comes after the Rampage came out of a hard fought series with Kitimat with the required wins to move on in the CIHL playoffs, their reward another chance to match up with the league champs and a team that is the most powerful offensive line up in the league.
The weekend should offer some high temp hockey, the Rampage and River Kings are quite familiar with each other and this season, providing for a highly entertaining experience for the fans of both teams.

As the accounts above show, the games rarely are blow outs with the intensity level ramped up for both teams as they put their most times friendly rivalry to the test time and time again.
Key for the Rampage will be to shut down the highly productive Terrace offence which features Connor Onstein, Colin Bell and Ian Chrystal to name a few who have had some strong results so far in the 2021-22 playoff season.
You can explore how the two teams match up with a look at the lineup previews for the three game series.
The Rampage have been setting the tone for tonight's puck drop with a video posted to their Facebook page this week, a mix of past highlights and tributes to those behind the scenes and most importantly the fans.
Game One tonight has a 7PM start, Game Two goes on Saturday night at the Terrace Area and Game Three (if necessary) will be in Terrace on Sunday afternoon.
Tickets are available at the Door, or through the eventbrite link.
Should the Rampage prevail, they will move on through the CIHL playoffs to the league Finals.
A loss to Terrace will bring an end to the 2021-22, the fans at the Jim tonight will no doubt be on their game to provide their encouragement to see the hockey continue as long as it can.
The other series underway this weekend finds the Williams Lake Stampeders and Quesnel Kangaroos renewing their long standing rivalry in the Cariboo region.
