Adventure construction had a large crew working on the road reconstruction project over the Thanksgiving Day weekend, with prep work underway Saturday.
The project which started out as a waterline replacement, has been ongoing and evolving in scope since the first signs of water issues came up in June.
The project was one that was cited by Mayor Lee Brain last week as part of the plans by the City Council to ask the Premier and Cabinet for more financial support towards the long list of civic infrastructure issues in the community.
With the prep work seemingly in place, all that would appear to remain is for a few sunny days to put the finishing touches to the long running repair work.
