McBride Street progress over long weekend

Prince Rupert motorists may soon see some relief from the long running closure of the northbound travel lanes of McBride Street, with work moving ahead over the long weekend toward some paving work.

Adventure construction had a large crew working on the road reconstruction project over the Thanksgiving Day weekend, with prep work underway Saturday.

The project which started out as a waterline replacement, has been ongoing and evolving  in scope since the first signs of water issues came up in June.

With the prep work seemingly in place, all that would appear to remain is for a few sunny days to put the finishing touches to the long running repair work.

You can follow some of the work on the McBride Street reconstruction from our Operations Archive page.
