Update: Travel Advisories have ended for both Highway 16 & 37
Terrace area also included in Travel Advisory for approaches east and west of the City.
The first significant storm of 2020 continues to pound on the Terrace and Kitimat region, with the latest Advisory coming from Drive BC putting a travel Advisory in place for Highway 37 between the two communities.
Issued at just before 5:30 the Advisory notes the ongoing heavy snowfall and limited visibility in the area, urging caution for motorists or recommending the consider alternate plans.
Earlier today as the storm continue to bring snow and winds to the area, the City of Terrace Closed its City Hall operations and the District of Kitimat pulled all of its Transit Fleet off the streets.

You can also check the Ministry of Transportation Highway Cameras along the way. Sone cameras in the Terrace area however are not working at the moment.
The Most recent Update from Environment Canada was issued at 4:43 PM and continued the Winter Storm Warning for the region calling for the snow to continue into the evening, with total accumulation still anticipated to reach 60 cm.
