With approaching storm, BC Ferries revises schedule for Prince Rupert to Skidegate run

The Friday arrival of the Northern Expedition has been delayed
as BC Ferries prepares for adverse weather on the North Coast

As we outlined earlier today, the North Coast and Haida Gwaii are both currently under a WIND WARNING from Environment Canada, from that and with Marine waters also under watches and warnings, BC Ferries has announced a change to the Friday schedule of the Northern Expedition.

The scheduled sailing of 12:30 AM for Friday morning from Skidegate has now been delayed until 6AM, with an arrival time for Prince Rupert of 11:30 AM.

That has also had a spin off impact on service to the Central Coast and Port Hardy, with the ship now scheduled to depart from the BC Ferries Terminal at Fairview at 3 PM for points south.

The revised schedule is noted as weather dependent, with the adverse weather potentially making for further change as we head into Friday afternoon.

You can get updated information on the two runs out of Prince Rupert from the BC Ferries Service Notices page.
