Saturday Fog made for start of Air Transportation challenges for Prince Rupert Airport users over Thanksgiving weekend

The Flight Aware aviation tracking website provides the
history for Saturday's Air Canada  flight 8089 travels

Mother Nature made for some challenges for Thanksgiving weekend gatherings with the Saturday Air Canada Flight to Prince Rupert never quite making for a landing at YPR, the flight instead facing extensive fog made one pass of the runway before making for a return to Vancouver.

From there passengers were either booked onto the evening flight to Terrace, or delayed a day in their travels with Sunday.

An while Sunday's schedule appears to have gone smoothly, Monday's aviation travels to the city seemingly had some challenges as well.

With the departing flight reported as Cancelled through the Flight Aware tracking program,  though no details were outlined related to Monday situation.

The weekend troubles has Air Canada playing some catch up today with three flights listed on the Air Canada travel update page.

The flight challenges did not make for a mention on the YPR social media feed on Saturday.

The fog also had Environment Canada issuing a travel advisory for road and marine travel on Saturday. Highway 16 had extensive fog for much of the transit between Prince Rupert and Terrace.
