Haida Gwaii joins in on the LOVE fest

A popular program designed to create awareness of local and small business in British Columbia has expanded to Haida Gwaii, helping spread word of some of the diverse options available for both residents and visitors to the Islands.

Close to 160 businesses, services, or artisans have signed on to the Love Haida Gwaii program to this point, with each receiving their own spot of the index page of participating members.

Included as part of their page is a short biography about the owner, and details about what it is that they have to offer the community, as well as contact information and links to any social media portals that they may have.

The project was introduced to the Islands by the Misty Isles Economic Development in partnership with the Northern Development Initiative Trust

North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice took advantage of a chance to speak of her love for Haida Gwaii, by highlighting the Love Haida Gwaii campaign for the Legislature this week.

You can learn more about the program here, while residents of Haida Gwaii who own a business can explore how they can become involved in the Love Haida Gwaii program here.
