Male in custody following Saturday evening B & E at B.C. Liquor Store

Repairs were required to the front door of the BC Liquor store
after an overnight B & E at the downtown location

Regular business hours weren't enough for one person late Saturday night, after the city's RCMP members were called to the BC Liquor store location at McBride and Second Avenue West, and took a male into custody shortly after the midnight hour

Responding officers arrived on the scene to find damage to the front door which had been smashed, with members locating the suspect and making their arrest not far from the store.

As part of the investigation into the incident, the detachments forensic unit attended to the scene.

The Prince Rupert detachment have been kept busy over the last few weeks with a number of after hours break and entries taking place at a variety of commercial establishments throughout the city.
