While the 59th edition of the All Native Basketball Tournament will write some stories for history books through the next week, some potential players of the future will be put through their paces with a one day Basketball Camp Saturday at the Prince Rupert Middle School.
The program is an initiative of the Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity and Recreational Council, which offers a number of programs across the province to promote healthy active communities through sport and recreation.
The 2nd Avenue camp that is tied into All Native Tournament week is set for tomorrow with three sessions for participants to take one.
The First of the camps is for Boys and Girls ages 6 to 9 and runs from 9 to 11 AM
Camp Number Two is for Boys and Girls ages 10 to 13 and takes place from Noon to Two
The Final Camp of the Day is a Co-ed camp for those ages 14 to 18 and will run from 2:30 to 4:30
Hosted and coached by Terry Monture and Garaline Tom, the day will feature skill development that ranges from beginner to advance level of plan, as well as mini games and
