The care and well being of the incarcerated makes for the latest job posting for the City of Prince Rupert, as the RCMP detachment on Sixth Avenue West seeks out the services of casual guard for the jail facility at the detachment.
The Employment posting which was provided to the city's employment page this week outlines the scope of the job for would be applicants, which among the duties includes the supervision of prisoners in custody and provision for cell block security.
Applicants will be required to successfully complete a security clearance process to attain the level of the RCMP' Enhanced Reliability.
The position which is included as part of the CUPE agreement with the City has a closing date of March 29th. Resumes and cover letters can be delivered to the RCMP Detachment's Office manager at 100 6th Avenue West, Prince Rupert, V8J 3Z3
