RCMP investigating second graffiti incident directed at local Catholic Church facility

For the second time in less than a week, an incident of mischief involving graffiti has been directed towards the local Roman Catholic parish in Prince Rupert.

This one the marking of a message directed at the Church on a garage door of the Rectory/Residence of the parish staff members.

Prince Rupert RCMP have added the incident from June 2nd to their case file related to a similar case of graffiti vandalism which marked the doors of Annunciation Church in the early hours of Monday morning.

The two incidents have taken place in the days following the announcement one week ago of the discovery of a mass grave at the site of the Kamloops Indian Residential School.

The RCMP has yet to issue an official information release related to the incident.
