It is the hot local sport for the Spring and Summer of 2021 and for those involved in Prince Rupert Minor Softball, this year is shaping up as a key year for the development of the sport at the youth level.
With few activities available for youth through the last few months owing to COVID, parents responded enthusiastically to the launch of the 2021 Minor Softball season in May.
So much so that league organizers have extended the season into mid July, with a number of schedule updates now available through they Facebook page.
The organization has also seen some growing interest in helping out from the Business Community and local industry, with sponsorship of Field signs sprouting up around the park at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.
With its growing popularity, a chance to continue with the skill development will come in August when the City of Prince Rupert and Mimmo Ciccone offer up a summer camp.
The Recreation Department shared the details of the Sumer fun through their Facebook page providing for notes on two camps which run from August 7-12 at Doug Kerr Field.
