Kelowna, Prince Rupert RCMP seeking whereabouts of missing Okanagan resident

A planned fishing trip to the North Coast for an Okanagan resident has turned into a missing persons file, with Mounties in both Kelowna and Prince Rupert as well as points in between seeking the assistance of the public in locating Shawn Weaver.

In an information release from the Kelowna detachment, the RCMP have outlined what they know so far.

On August 21, 2021 Shawn Weaver was reported missing to the Kelowna RCMP. Shawn left the Kelowna area to go fishing in Prince Rupert in early July and never arrived. RCMP have followed up on numerous leads but have not located Shawn.

Mr. Weaver is described as a First Nations male, 43 years of age. He stands 5 foot 6 inches or 168 cm tall, and weighs 196 pounds/89 kilogram. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.


He was last seen driving a Grey Honda Civic with the licence plate of GT864V, he was also travelling with a French bulldog.
