Staffing issues for Northern Expedition make for Cancelled Sailing

No Travel Today, as an air charter issue meant that the Crew for
the Northern Expedition was not on hand for today's scheduled sailing

BC Ferries had to scrub plans for the 2:30 Departure of the Northern Expedition, cancelling the Prince Rupert to Skidegate crossing due to problems in getting their crew to Prince Rupert in time for the sailing.

In a Service Notice posted this afternoon, BC Ferries noted how a mechanical issue on the plane chartered for the crew, resulted in the ferry staff members not making it to Prince Rupert in time for the afternoon transit.

The advisory notes that Customers with bookings will be accommodated on the 10:00 am sailing departing Prince Rupert and the 10:00 pm sailing departing Skidegate, and will be contacted to advise of their new sailing details.

You can review the update here, and follow the Service Notices page for further updates as they are provided.
