Elevated water levels have a number of inland communities of Northwest on Alert today

The Skeena, Bulkley and Nechako River Systems are
all a focus for the River Forecast Centre today

A delayed snow melt and ongoing precipitation has combined for a late season High Stream Advisory for communities along the Skeena and Bukley Rivers this week, with today's update from the River Forecast centre calling attention to the fast-flowing rivers and potential for unstable riverbanks during this period.

The situation continues on further to the east with a Flood watch issued for the Nechako River system.

Earlier this week one incident related to fast moving and rising water was outlined by Stikine MLA Nathan Cullen.

On Monday, he updated residents of his riding of a washout situation  on the Babine Road, which has impacted on residents of Granisle and area.
