Snowfall Warning issued for North Coast Inland areas

If you live in the Terrace, Kitimat, Nass or Bulkley Valley areas, keep the snow shovel handy, as the white stuff is set to just keep on coming for residents of the North Coast inland areas.

Environment Canada issued the Warning late Saturday afternoon calling for another 20 centimetres of Snow for a stretch from Terrace to Smithers and the Bulkley Valley, with the snow to arrive in the early morning hours as another pacific front works its way into the Northern British Columbian

The latest snowfall comes after what has been a week of heavy snow across the inland areas of the region, resulting in challenging travel conditions, cancellations and travel delays.

For Prince Rupert and the coastal areas of the North Coast, the arriving front will bring periods of rain, with up to 40 mm expected overnight and on Sunday, with rain in the forecast for the start of next week.

You can keep up to date on any changes to the forecast from the Environment Canada website.

As the snow arrives inland, road conditions could change across the Highway 16 corridor and its feeder routes, Road Conditions around the Northwest can be accessed from the Drive BC website and Twitter Feed
