CityWest taps into local theatre talent for latest promotional video

CityWest has channelled the world's space program to a fashion, and taken advantage of the city's thriving theatre community as part of their new line of promotional videos.

A project that showcases the Prince Rupert based communication company's services and options for customers across the Northwest and comes as one of a number of new initiatives from the marketing department.

The newest entry in what we imagine is the short promotional category, features a pair of local actors familiar to the local theatre scene providing the details of the communication company's Refer a Friend program, with Rudy Kelly and Jacqueline Taylor taking on the starring roles of the streaming presentation.

In the short video, Kelly's character Dan learns from Ms. Taylor's Roberta that there are no limits to the amount of people that CityWest customers can refer the company as they look to pursue savings for their accounts.

Mr. Kelly has a long history with theatre in the community, while Ms. Taylor a CityWest employee, will soon be part of the featured cast on the stage at the Lester Centre in this years production of Rumours, which debuts later this month with shows from March 21 to 23.

So successful are the local video vignettes, that the North Coast Review has heard that that there are currently some intense negotiations underway to try to lure famed entertainer extraordinaire Chad Estrada to the CityWest fold, with hopes that the long time Prince Rupert favourite may sign on as an official spokesman for the Northwest communication company.

As we understand it, so far the the main sticking point for the negotiations is that Mr. Estrada is insisting that his vast North Coast estate be included in the next roll out of the CityWest Fibre to Home project.

As we noted in January, CityWest recently debuted a new feature to their website called the North Route, which offers up a range of tips and highlights some of the fare available through the many channel options offered by their television service.
