As Voter cards arrive in mailboxes across Northwest, Elections Canada prepares for Advance Voting from September 10-13



Residents of the Northwest who are registered to vote should see their Voter Information cards arriving in the mail before the end of the week, the mail out launched on Tuesday with Canada Post delivering the advisories to your mailbox with your regular mail run.

The Cards provide information for Voters as to when voting opportunities are available prior to the General Voting Day of September 20th.

For those looking to cast the ballot before Election Day, Advance Voting Days will get underway over the next four days starting on Friday. With residents of Prince Rupert able to cast their advance ballots at the Elections Canada office on First Avenue West from 9 AM to 9PM from September 10-13.

As we outlined earlier this month, the local office is available for residents who may have questions or who find errors on their Voter information cards.

Voters in the riding have the choice of six contenders for the Skeena Bulkley constituency.


General Voting on September 20th will take place at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre, a look at the Health and Safety provisions in place owing to COVID can be reviewed here.
