The Charles Hays Rainmakers ran into some hot competition to open their three days of play at the No Regrets Basketball Tournament in North Vancouver, with the Makers dropping their opening day match up with Argyle by a score of 76 to 54.

The account of the play from the No Regrets tournament page provides a glimpse into the pace of the game which saw the Aryle squad build up an early lead and never really look back, dominating the Rainmakers in the size department on the court.

An 18-6 deficit after the first quarter expanded to 33-20 by the hall, though  some alterations in the Rainmaker room at the half did seem to change the direction of play for the Charles Hays squad for the rest of the game.

Though the gap never really closed between the North Vancouver team and the Prince Rupert visitors on the way to the final buzzer and the Argyle victory.

The recap to Day One from the No Regrets team can be reviewed here.

With the loss, the Rainmakers will now take on Dover Bay at 3PM this afternoon at the Argyle gymnasium.
