Troubles down the line make for occasional service interruptions for CityWest customers

An equipment situation near Vanderhoof is reported to be the cause for some sporadic outages along the CityWest service corridor from Vanderhoof to Prince Rupert today, with the communication company dispatching service personnel to the area of note to look to rectify the ongoing situation.

Service in the Prince Rupert and Port Edward area appears to have been restored this afternoon, though the potential for further interruptions is a possibility according to CityWest.

The service notice was provided to the CityWest Maintenance and Outage pages and is listed as an ongoing concern, with no Estimated Time for a return to Full Service without issues.

The Maintenance listings so far make for the only official notification of the service situation, with no updates yet delivered through the CityWest Facebook page or website.

Update: Early Wednesday afternoon, CityWest updated the outages page to list service as restored.
