57 chased the title, but Ian Robinson claimed Men's Jubilee honours for 2018

Perfect weather for golf and a top flight course made for the best of elements for the 2018 edition of the Men's Jubilee Golf tournament last weekend at the Prince Rupert Golf Course.

57 golfers took to the Centennial golf course, making for a mix of 42 locals and 15 from out of town and after the third day of the tourney (one practice, two competition rounds) it was Prince Rupert's Ian Robinson recovering from some final round struggles and holding off the charge to collect the Men's Jubilee Trophy from Golf Club manager Willie Wekel by Sunday afternoon.

Robinson had rounds of 67 and 74 for a two day gross total of 141.

Overall Low Net for the weekend belonged to Ron Miller, who combined rounds of 64 an 70 for the two day net total of 134.


The weekend's results were as follows:


1st Low Gross: Championship Flight: Adam Veenstra -- Smithers - 72/70 for a two day total of 142.
1st Flight: Larry Steinke -- Smithers - 83/83 for a two day total of 166.
2nd Flight: Al Green Prince Rupert  - 89/90 for a two day total of 179
1st Low Net: Champ Flight: Ben Towner -- Prince Rupert - 67/69 for a two day total of 136.
1st Flight: Colin Zenuk  -- Kitimat  - 75/69 for a two day total of 144.
2nd Flight: Evan Deschamp -- Prince Rupert - 68/69 for a two day total of 137.
2nd Low Gross: Champ Flight: Dylan Kerbrat -- Kitimat - 71/73 for a two day total of 144.
1st Flight: Mel Young -- Prince Rupert -- 80/91 for a two day total of 171.
2nd Flight: Eric Hand -- Prince Rupert  - 95/89 for a two day total of 184. (tie breaker)
2nd Low Net: Champ Flight: Brian Holkestad - Prince Rupert - 72/67 for a two day total of 139.
1st Flight: Gord Munro -- Smithers68/79 for a two day total of 147 
2nd Flight: Teru Yamamoto Prince Rupert - 73/75 for 2 day total of 148 
3rd Low Gross: Champ Flight: Rob McDonald Prince Rupert - 76/74 for a two day total of 150
1st Flight: Bart Kuntz - Prince Rupert86/86 for a two day total of 172.
2nd Flight: Kelly Lattimer -- Prince Rupert - 92/92 for a two day total of 184.

The turn around time is short with the next tournament just days away with the His and Hers Tournament set for this Saturday and Sunday, with a practice round available for Friday.

Entry fee is 160 dollars per team, which includes the Social and dinner specials of Friday night and the tournament banquet on Saturday night.
