British Columbians prepare for the 2020 Great Shake Out, with province wide earthquake drill set for Thursday

Tomorrow's the day for practice, as British Columbians take part in the annual Great British Columbia Shake Out, the project one to create awareness of the seismic dangers we live with in the province and give opportunity to develop personal plans of action should disaster hit.

So far, as of 11:15 AM over 730,000 British Columbians have registered for the October 15th event, signing on at the shoutbc.ca registration page.

Of that amount, 3,686 North Coast residents have indicated plans to participate tomorrow, the vast majority of them students of local schools in the region.

The Great British Columbia Shake Out takes place at school, at work or at home and participation is as simple as to  remember to drop, cover and Hold On!

The province wide practice drill will take place at 10:15AM

You can find out more about how you can join the participants tomorrow from this information page.
