Northern Health preparing for flu shot season launch in November

residents to get their 2020 flu shot

The annual opportunity to get a flu shot has taken on a bit more urgency this year in our times of COVID, with health officials in British Columbia anticipating a large demand as growing numbers of British Columbians prepare to roll up a sleeve this fall.

Northern Health has outlined its plans for this year, announcing that their offices across the North will be ready for the flu shot distribution as of the first week of November.

The 2020 flu program consists of a vaccine that covers a number of anticipated viruses for this year.

Residents of the Prince Rupert area can also get their flu shot at the local pharmacy locations in the city, with Northern Health providing for this listing through the immunize BC website
