Coast Mountain College seeks Elders and Knowledge Keepers in support of Indigenous students

As part of their commitment towards Indigenous students at Coast Mountain College, officials at college campus locations across the region are currently seeking the skills and contributions of Indigenous Knowledge Keepers and Elders from the traditional unceded territories that the College serves.

Coast Mountain College is looking for members of the Tsimshian, Haida, Haisla, Nisga'a, Gitxsan and Wet'suwet'en Nations to share their traditional knowledge, experiences, stories and wisdom of students through a range of opportunities from workshops, talking circles language lessons and more.

The ongoing goal of the program is in support of Indigenous students through traditional activities and gatherings, offering them the opportunity to connect to the cultures and benefit from peer support.

To learn more about the program contact the First Nations Access Coordinators office for more details.

That office can be reached at fnac@coastmountaincollge.ca or by phone at 1-877-277-2288
