A preview of what you will find between the covers of a new publication from Muskeg Press next month is now available online, with publisher Chris Armstrong bringing together north Coast writers Rudy Kelly, Shannon Lough and Conor Rae Harris to offer up a glimpse of how they put together their contribution to the ten story collection.
The three providing for some very different themes and approaches to their work, which developed some intriguing plot development towards the finished product for their submissions for the compilation.
“Inheritance” by Conar Rae Harris
“Open Door” by Rudy Kelly
“By the River” by Shannon Lough
The creative process for the three Prince Rupert based writers can be reviewed here.
Similar contributions from British Columbia and Toronto from Angie Ellis, David Ward and Evan Manning, as well as from India's Sharanya Manivannan can be reviewed as well.As we noted earlier this summer, the project was designed to provide for a break from the ongoing attention we have given towards COVID-19.
The call from Muskeg Press publisher Chris Armstrong for submissions bringing in over 700 manuscripts to consider, making for a challenging task to pare the list down to the ten finalists.
The pre-order for the book is available from the Muskeg Press website, the big reveal for the compilation of stories comes next month.
