A sample of some of the entries receives so far in the RCMP/DP World
North Coast Pumpkin Carving competition

A chance to showcase your pumpkin carving or decorating skills is now underway, with the Prince Rupert RCMP and DP World Prince Rupert hosting a Pumpkin Carving Contest, seeking photos of you and your creation.

The contest was launched on the Prince Rupert RCMP Facebook page on October 18th, with submissions being accepted until the midnight hour of October 29th.

The Contest Rules are outlined as part of the Online Event page created for the Carving competition.

Once all the entries have arrived, prizes will be awarded for Most Creative and Best Technique.

You can get a glimpse of some of the entries so far and submit your own from the Discussion forum from the online event page.

The RCMP's Facebook page which you can explore here, launched earlier this month and is more of an information and community resource that that of a policing instrument.

The local Detachment notes that it is not monitored by on-duty police officers and if you require emergency assistance the number to call is 9-1-1

For non emergency assistance call their office number at 250-624-2136
