Municipal and Regional themes once again dominated our most read items for the week, with both bodies of government in the area providing themes of note.
Two items related to Mayor Lee Brain's recent State of the City presentation topped the list for the last seven days.
The BC Liberals used some of the Mayor's themes and talking points to make some political hay and challenge some of the efforts of North Coast NDP MLA Jennifer Rice during this last municipal term of office.
While our wrap up to our overview of the Mayor's presentation also generated a large readership as the week moved forward.
An interesting call for proposals from the Prince Rupert Port Authority offered up a glimpse at perhaps some local solutions for civic infrastructure requirements for the future.
A late Friday information release from the Prince Rupert RCMP highlighted gang activity and violence in the downtown core earlier this Spring.
And the challenges of highway infrastructure were provided with a strong visual aid, as a traveller along Highway 16 this week shared photos of a gaping hole along the highway east of Prince Rupert.
The top item of the week puts a provincial politics spin to the Mayor's June 28th State of the City Presentation, as the BC Liberals made use of some of the Mayor's talking points to put forward their view of how the riding has been represented over the last four years.
