Prince Rupert Transit to Extend service through Holiday shopping season

Smart Santa Shoppers will be taking transit in the final few days of Christmas shopping, as Prince Rupert's BC Transit Service makes plans for some extended service during the holiday shopping period.

In an announcement from Friday, The City of Prince Rupert and BC Transit outlined their plans for Prince Rupert for 2021.

A service program will see Friday evening schedules in place every night of the week from December 13 to 23rd.

The evening service will apply to all scheduled routes and will make it easier for everyone to complete their holiday shopping on time.

There's no indication yet if the holiday changes will include the Port Edward service, or if it remains on it's current level of Service which ends by just after 5:30PM each day.
