Metlakatla in midst of planning for May 24th celebration

Metlakatla Day planning continues across Prince Rupert harbour as the First Nation community works out its plans for the celebration of 156 years for the community site.

Among the fun planned for the May 24th event is a seafood luncheon, with planners seeking donations towards, organizers are also looking for volunteers to  lend a hand to put on the day of celebration.

The event is scheduled to take place from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Ferry transportation is scheduled to depart from Prince Rupert at 11 AM.
