Rainfall Warning issued for North Coast Inland areas

Those making travel plans for inland areas of the Northwest can expect to find some heavy rainfall at times as the weekend moves along, earlier today Environment Canada issued a Rainfall Warning for the inland regions, with particular attention directed towards the Kitimat area which will be the target for a string of pacific fronts coming ashore.

So far, there has been no official warning issued for the coastal areas of the North Coast including Prince Rupert, but the weekend will be a wet one as well, with up to 65 mm of rain to come by midnight.

Another 50 mm of rain is forecast for Sunday, with rain continuing through into Monday.

Hopeful signals of a return of the sun come our way for Tuesday.

For the latest updates on weather in the region see the Environment Canada website.
