District of Port Edward reminds residents to report any wolf encounters/sightings with Conservation Officer Service of BC

The last few weeks have seen an increase in reports of wolf sightings and encounters around the District of Port Edward and as part of their education program for residents, the District has put out a reminder that such occurrences should be reported to the Conservation Officer Service of BC.

The District provided an update to the situation late last week through their Social Media Stream.

As part of the awareness campaign the District also has offered up some person safety should you be faced with an encounter, or wish to avoid one.

The Conservation Officer Service also has further advice towards on the responsibilities of residents to ensure that those attractants for wildlife are not found on properties in the area.

More on the Reporting process is available here.

Should there be local issues of concern for residents, you will learn more of those through the District's Social Media feed.
