Prince Rupert Fire Rescue on the search for recruits

A career opportunity with the Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue Department
has been posted by the City with a closing date of June 1 for applicants


The Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue Department has put out the Help Wanted Sign once again, with the City of Prince Rupert posting the latest opportunity to join the ranks of the Fire Service.

The employment posting was released yesterday with a Closing Date of June 1st.

The employment notes include minimum qualifications, preferred qualifications and items of interest for those who make the short list and what will be expected of them, As well the city's COVID vaccination requirements are included in the information relay for would be applicants.

Also included as part of the Information package, is some background for applicants on the letter of understanding between the City and the Prince Rupert Firefighters Union related to labour themes. 

That document explains the Relief Firefighter program recently introduced by the City as a way to expand the complement of firefighters available for calls for service.
