The Lax Kw'alaams Band Council is currently taking the names of those in the community that may have an interest in serving as First Responders, with the Band also set to provide for First Aid Courses as a first step.
The Dates of the program to be provided through the St. John's Amublance have yet to be set, but once in motion the program will offer OFA Level 2 or 3 instruction, which will provided the preliminary training towards becoming a First Responder member.
Those that wish to become one, will be required to provide for a one year commitment to the local program. For more information contact Jim at the Lax Kw'alaams Fire hall at 250-625-3233
