As we noted earlier this week, this is planting season for many gardeners on the North Coast, this weekend making for the annual Spring Plating weekend for the Sunken Gardens which starts tomorrow morning at 11 AM.

Also looking for some help for a local project is the Prince Rupert Lions Club, which has put out the call for green thumbs to give a hand to their work around the Acropolis Manor, that by way of donation of any spare perennials you have to help put the Manor into bloom later this summer.

The Lions work has provided for a growing collection of flowers and shrubs at the entrance of the Summit Avenue Seniors Residences, providing for a colourful display once the growing season has given way to viewing season.
