BC Ferries cancels November 6th sailing of Northern Expedition

Sailing cancelled! The Northern Expedition will not be transiting to Haida Gwaii
tonight, with the November 6/7 sailing cancelled owing to adverse weather

Adverse weather conditions off the North Coast have resulted in a sailing cancellation for today by BC Ferries, with the Ferry Corporation advising that the 10 PM sailing of the Northern Expedition to Haida Gwaii has been cancelled and with it the return journey back to Prince Rupert of Tuesday morning.

Environment Canada issued a Wind Warning for Haida Gwaii this morning noting that Southeasterly winds from 80 to 100 km/h were anticipated this afternoon and overnight.




Likewise Marine Warnings have been issued for the waters between Prince Rupert and Haida Gwaii

BC Ferries made note of additional sailings set for November 13th as part of today's advisory which was updated on the BC Ferries website this morning.
